I’m so glad you’re here!
for the dreamy vintage lovers
This business is LGBTQ+ owned and is a safe space. I maintain inclusivity, diversity, and body positivity in my work.
My photography style is characterized by a dreamy, vintage aesthetic that evokes a sense of nostalgia and warmth. I focus on capturing authentic moments, allowing the emotions and personalities of my subjects to shine through in each photograph. Light plays an essential role in my work, bright yet soft, creating a surreal and ethereal quality.
In each session, I let my artist’s intuition guide me. I approach photography like painting a portrait. I watch how the light falls, how the subject rests naturally, how the colors interact. Where they intersect is where my masterpiece appears. Another approach I use is imagining my subject to be inside a movie scene. I may step back and let my subject wander, capturing a more candid expression or movement. I ask questions and use their answers to frame the light and emotions in a particular way, their story silently being told through the photograph.
Color palettes I’m drawn to consist of shades of red and yellow, browns, blues, and greens. These contribute to the vintage feel, as well as a contrast between light and shadow, and a layer of grain.
Through my lens, I aim to promote body positivity and self-love, encouraging subjects to embrace their unique beauty. I also celebrate diversity and inclusivity, ensuring that all individuals—regardless of their background or identity—are represented and empowered in my work. Each photograph becomes a piece of art that reflects not only the subject but also their stories, their dreams, their passions, their essence, their whole selves.
My Experience
I made the shortlist for the Sony World Photography Awards in London, England, for the professional portfolio category. Ten of my photos were displayed in the Somerset House.
I was named one of the 9 Best Portrait Photographers in Des Moines, Iowa, where I grew up and lived until moving to Portland a year ago.
My work appeared in Teen Vogue for an article on teen parenting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I was one of the photography directors in Iowa State University’s fashion magazine called TREND, in issue 35 called “Radar”.
And last but not least, I’ve done 200+ photoshoots during the 5 years I’ve had my photography business. Whether those photoshoots were for couples, body-positivity, editorials, gender-affirming, or just because, I never tire of meeting new people and creating beautiful moments with them all.
